ACTION: Fungicide.
USE: Controls powdery mildew, scab and rust of vines, pome fruits, vegetables, and major diseases of small grain cereals.
FORMULATIONS: Oil miscible liquid, soluble grain, suspension concentrate.
PREMIX PARTNERS: Captan; Carbendazim; Chlorothalonil; Zineb.

Identification

COMMON NAME: Hexaconazole (ANSI, BSI, ISO draft).

Chemistry

COMPOSITION: (RS)-2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-(IH-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-hexan-2-ol (1).
PROPERTIES: White crystalline solid with no odor. Melting point 111℃. Soluble in a range of organic solvents.

Environmental Guidelines

WATER SOLUBILITY: Low solubility.

Safety Guidelines

TOXICITY: Tech. (Rat): Oral LD50 1453 mg/kg; Dermal LD50 2010 mg/kg. (Rabbit): Nonirritant to eyes, skin.
HANDLING/STORAGE CAUTIONS: Avoid skin contact and vapor inhalation.

Emergency Guidelines

TOXICITY: (Rat): Oral LD50 6071 mg/kg (female).
